From developing young leaders and building police–youth partnerships to promoting financial literacy and connecting families with critical services, each initiative reflects our commitment to equity, education, and empowerment. Together, these programs create lasting impact, helping individuals thrive and communities rise.
BRidge Youth Council
“Empowering Youth Leaders”
The BRidge Youth Council is a dynamic leadership initiative of The BRidge Agency that cultivates the next generation of changemakers. This core group of 15 youth leaders commits to
a 24-month journey focused on holistic leadership development, community advocacy, and personal growth. Members gain hands-on experience in civic engagement, mentorship, and project-based learning that strengthens their voices and leadership within Baton Rouge and beyond.
Applications for the BRidge Youth Council open annually, inviting passionate young leaders ages 14–19 to join in shaping a brighter, more equitable future for their communities.

Through our Legacy Literacy 4 All initiative, The BRidge Agency empowers individuals and families with the knowledge and tools to build lasting stability and generational wealth. The program offers community education workshops that focus on financial literacy, estate planning, homeownership, and property retention, enabling participants to make informed decisions that protect their legacies. By increasing access to practical education and trusted resources, we’re fostering a culture of empowerment, equity, and long-term community wellness.
Youth Focused Programming

Through free year-round supportive academic and enrichment programs, The BRidge Agency empowers marginalized youth ages 7–17 with access to transformative experiences—connecting
them with inspiring mentors, introducing them to new opportunities, and sparking early interest in college and future careers.

BRidge Police Athletics & Activities League
“Public safety in partnership with YOUth”
By engaging youth and law enforcement in recreational and educational activities, the program creates opportunities for positive, trust-building interactions in a relaxed environment.
Mentorship and Guidance: Officers serve as mentors, offering support, life skills, and career guidance to youth, thereby fostering mutual respect and personal development.
